I started working with
chainmalle about 15 years ago when on one sleepless night I saw an
infomercial selling a hauker (chainmalle shirt) and some other clothing
made out of metal. I thought to myself "I can do that" and have been
playing around with chainmalle ever since.
I typically work with
Stainless Steel, Anodized Aluminum and Rubber for clothing and Copper,
Brass, Sterling Silver and Anodized Aluminum for my jewelry pieces. Of
course, I'm always experimenting and looking for new and interesting
ways to make something amazing. To that end, I look forward to getting
ideas from YOU. If you can imagine it, I will make it for you!!
With the exception of alloys that may have
Nickel in them (Brass depending on how its made), I try hard to make all
my pieces Nickel free. I make my own hook clasps out of Stainless Steel and
most other clasps I purchase I look to ensure they are Nickel free. That
being said, if you have a Nickel allergy, I go to great lengths to
ensure my pieces are safe, but I accept no responsibility for an
allergic reaction to my work.
